It always amazes me how God catches my attention and gives me little gifts... I made the mistake of taking sweet Hallie to Walmart today to grocery shop. I actually got to do a majority of the shopping in peace (well sort of peace as I was rushing through crossing my fingers and saying a prayer that she would please please stay sleeping). I was in the midst of the produce when I the roses caught my eye, and I was thinking how they are a lot brighter and prettier than usual. I had the brief thought it would be nice to get some but that is completely impractical, so maybe for my birthday or something another day. So anyway I kept shopping, and she made it until the very end but then was screeeeaming as loud as she could. I never realized screaming babies got so much attention. One sympathetic cashier even opened up a new line just for me so I could get OUT of there, and many well-meaning people gave advice that I didn't exactly appreciate. Thank you random guy that told me I must hold her too much. But then as I was loading the groceries into my car the woman that was unloading groceries in the car one over walked up to me and guess what she handed me. Yep, a rose.

Mid-week I really just wanted to sleep, but my kids have lots of energy and wanted something to do. So they talked me into going to the library- it's just minutes from our house. Natalie got her OWN library card she was dying to use again so off we went. I forgot how great the park is there! It was soo gorgeous with the sun coming in through the trees on the little creek there. We also ran into some old friends from girl scouts that we got to catch up with. It felt so good to get out and it was our little trip was such a sweet surprise to "unwrap".

Hallie is four weeks old today!! These past weeks have gone by sooo fast and have been sooo crazy! Thankfully, my kids are troopers, and have had a great attitude about a new sister, a new house, new school, new bust stop, etc. I am proud of them esp. Natalie who doesn't really like change much (she gets that from me). Benjamin already found a friend in his class that has "the same shoes, pencil box, scissors, and Don't break the Ice game". Natalie has a new friend, Caroline, that she eats with and plays with at recess and a new friend in her class that rides her bus. Having a newborn is as exhausting as I remember, but I forgot how you fall in love with them. Crazy in love!

Just enjoying life with this new little girl. We marvel all the time at how small she is! My days are a blur of feeding and burping and napping. Huge thanks to our friends and family who have helped so much with dinners and watching/taking Nati and Ben so I can rest!!
